Having a Dog in Your Life
Dog ownership is a very big responsibility, because they need a lot of care and when you give this to a dog, you will gain more benefits. It is an individualized process to look for the right companion pet. This is because every person in unique with unique needs and desires. The same can be said for every breed that is out there. Where these different breeds came from cannot be fully know but we can read many stories about where they came about, but they were all bred with a purpose and these purposes have been used all over the world. When we speak of its utility, we can generalize them into two: They are used to help men in their tasks or to do a certain duty, they on the other hand are also simply considered as pets.
Both utilities though includes companionship, one as an alliance while the other as a social affiliation. Since dogs are very reliable as a companion, there is a bond formed with his master and this relationship is sort of a mutual one. Real bonding with a dog makes the owner gain many benefits from it. Companionship with a dog carries it with a positional attitude and the owner benefits from being able to be in charge of his dog. And when you are in-charge, you are responsible for its well-being. When it is hungry, you feed it. You are sensitive when it wants to relieve itself and you take him out for that. When your dog becomes restless, you exercise and play with him. When your dog is sick, you bring him to the vet. But you gain a lot in return like his loyalty, devotion and trust but these you are not entitled to these things if you don’t care for your dog. That is why some people get attached to their dogs which can be compared to an attachment with a best friend.
There is one area in having a dog companion which is somewhat neglected by many dog owners and that is the area of training their dogs. We have to remember that they do not think like humans, they simply respond to patterns that we cast, they are very sensitive to these cues that many would assume that they have a cognitive ability like humans. Simply put, you cannot teach dogs the way you teach a child, it just does not work that way.
A trained dog gives his owner a lot of benefits. Training can save a dog’s life. In order to have voice control over your dog, you should spend time working with them with commands. A dog’s life can be spared by the ability of the owner to get the dog back with voice commands. Bringing a dog trained in manners is a delight and there will be no occasion for embarrassment or injury. Training allows you to understand them better.
